2/10 Terrible

"The only reason I reserved a room at this hotel was due to the pool amenities. Unfortunately the pool was filthy - unfortunately for me I didn’t notice this until after I got into the pool. The tiles of the pool interior were green and black with filth and the water felt disgusting. I got out and felt the need to shower right away in order to get rid of the filth that was in my skin and hair at that point. In the room I noticed that there were streaks of a mystery white fluid on the sides of the bedside table between the two beds which was disgusting. We were on the main floor and there were other guests running up and down the hallways yelling and screaming at all hours of the night yet staff permitted it (we were that close to the lobby and staff desks that they obviously heard but did nothing). I also felt very unsafe in the room because the door lock and deadbolt were loose and showed obviously signs of having been kicked in before. At night I could see the light from the hallway shining into the room because of the severe gapping between the damaged door and the doorframe. There was a hotel employee working the breakfast area on our last day there who was miserable and mumbling under her breath and being rude to other guests, this made them and myself uncomfortable."

"Having a restaurant, as well as a small lounge, onsite was a big plus. Very convenient location on the edge of town, close to a main route to Mass and Maine along with interior NH. The only thing that I would consider a negative comes with a caveat. The older gentleman that checked me in was very amiable and welcoming, but it took me almost 35 minutes to check-in. I was in a hurry to attend to plans I made, so the lengthy conversation was a roadblock that I had to navigate. It’s hard to criticize anyone for being too friendly. Maybe just be a little more considerate of someone else’s time."

"While my family's stay ended up being satisfactory, there was a poor start as when we checked into our room after a long travel day, our room had not been cleaned or turned over from the previous guest. We did not check in early, in fact it was about 7 pm at night, so this was just a miss from the property and staff. For a property with less than 20 rooms, it should not have been missed. With no housekeeping on property at that hour, we were offered a smaller room than booked as well as one without a view. These details mattered when booking as we had our infant daughter so were just looking for extra space as well as more serene environment than a parking lot view. The queen double we ultimately stayed in was fine. It was clean, we slept fine and left the next morning. I have reached out to the property to share my feedback but have yet to hear back. Based on other reviews, our experience seems like an anomaly but it doesn't take away from it being a frustrating & lackluster experience."
