The Anchor Inn

"Here’s a polished version of your review: My family of three, along with our small dog, stayed at the Anchor Inn for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Lucky 13 unit, which features a comfortable king bedroom and a pullout sofa bed. My daughter prefers sleeping on her air mattress, which actually worked out perfectly because it took up less space and allowed us to relax together on the sofa and enjoy family movie nights. The unit was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. I especially loved the kitchenette—the vintage-style refrigerator and stove are absolutely adorable and add so much character. The design choices throughout the unit are thoughtful and charming. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were surprisingly spacious. The air conditioning worked great, which was especially appreciated after spending time outdoors. While the property is not directly on the beach, it is centrally located and just a short ride away. The owners have thought of everything for beach days, providing bikes, beach chairs, and towels for guests to use. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Anchor Inn. We would definitely stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future! The room was very clean and well-appointed. Front desk, cabana, tiki bar, and restaurant staff were all extremely friendly and personable. Beautiful grounds. Great pool area. Both the poolside bar and Italian restaurant had excellent food. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available daily on the beach. Pro-tip for venturing off the resort: bikes are available for rent (free), but there aren’t very many places within close walking- or biking-distance, especially with the heat and humidity. Highly recommend renting a car if you’re planning on doing any shopping or adventuring (Blind Pass Beach on Captiva was absolutely amazing and The Bubble Room has excellent food and was fun to visit.)"
