"I always stay at this hotel when I’m going to the nearby Lobero Theater to go see a concert. It’s about a 10 minute walk. This is located on State Street near lots of great shopping and coffee, shops and restaurants and bars.. Starbucks is right next to the hotel. This part of State Street does not have cars so it makes it very easy to walk up and down and explore and have fun. There is valet parking and a parking lot in the back of the hotel that was very helpful. The room was very nice and very clean and I loved the mattress and the bedding and pillows and had a great night sleep. It’s mid priced and affordable and I enjoy it more than some of the more expensive hotels that I’ve stayed at that are fairly close to this location as well. The parking was $30 for overnight parking. They have renovated fairly recently since it’s an older historical hotel and it’s really well done and they’ve added a bar downstairs in the lobby, which was quite nice. Very friendly staff checking in and a wonderful and fragrant fresh smell throughout the hotel. Can’t say enough about it and I would stay here over and over again.!!!"

"The location is perfect: on State street, yet quiet & peaceful. Across the street there is San Roque plaza which has all kinds of shops & restaurants. A food truck (Mexican food parked near the motel in the late afternoon & evening with what appeared to be great food. Within walking distance, there is a "Denny's" restaurant, open 24 hours a day with very good food. The rooms have obviously been updated with all new appointments. The beds were new as well as sheets, towels, & bathrooms. The ice machine worked great. Wonderful place to stay: I'd stay again."

"The breakfast did not include actual eggs, sausage or waffles. It was a "continental" mostly cold and ready to eat food. The sheet thread count was low quality- a lot of piling and it was rough -like sandpaper. "

"Staff were great and we were upgraded to a room with a full kitchen. The property was great but our room was outdated in comparison to others we went in with family members. The amenities were great, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The AC unit ran through the window so the window was not able to full shut. This caused for an uneasy night as we were two female travelers but we were safe and had no issues."
