This property was the worst place I've ever seen. The receptionist was sitting at the bar, the music was blaring and the 'bar tender' was dancing in the lobby. The room was not at all like the pictures. there were water stains that looked like there had been a leak. The room smelled of stale smoke and mold! The bathroom had mold growing in it. There were tow doors that required codes to get into the room. One was right off the street (that didn't work well at all) and another to get into the room itself. There were cobwebs everywhere! They charged a resort fee which I usually don't mind paying but this property was far from a resort. I've stayed at nicer Motel 8 hotels. The receptionist said it was within walking distance to the plaza. It most certainly waws NOT.

It IS unique but it is NOT a "boutique gem" as advertised. The staff was apathetic and incompetent. This hotel is in a state of SERIOUS disrepair. The handicap ramp was freshly painted and had caution tape strung across it on day 2 of my stay. The keypad lock is impossible to see at night because there is no lighting that illuminates that area. The floor & rug of the HOPI unit were not thoroughly swept & vacuumed-there were pieces of paper, string, and fuzz on the floor behind the chairs. The top of the headboard was thick with dust. The bottom bedsheet had what looked like melted chewing gum on it.The area between the entry and the bathroom would not be navigable by wheelchair as it was too narrow. THIS ROOM SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISED AS USABLE FOR HANDICAPPED GUESTS. The lighting at the sink & mirror was very dim & the lighted mirror that was provided didn't work. (Reported on Monday and it was never replaced though I was told every day that it would be.) The sink had no plugging apparatus or rubber plug. The porch on unit #6 that was meant to function as a lounging space (for me & my travel companion) had dog feces on it, (and no, it was not from raccoons, possums or birds) and hadn't been swept. It had a string of lights that didn't work, had dozens of nailheads sticking up from the floor that were a TRIP HAZARD and the outside porch light didn't work. The stairs to the 2nd floor need new & visible reflective tape. But the sights and eats in Sante Fé are incomparable!

Great location - walkable to all best restaurants and downtown. Had some issues with housekeeping (had to ask for some items) but overall no issues. Great breakfast daily! The “snacks” advertised as “available all day” consisted of granola bars available only 2 of the 5 days we stayed. The bar was closed - apparently due to a recent break-in.

My wife and I stayed at the Vanessie four nights. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The cleaning staff very friendly and did a wonderful job. The breakfast area was great. The gentlemen who ran the breakfast area is a sweetheart of a man. As for the restaurant, total crap. The two of us had been out all day enjoying Santa Fe. We decided to give the restaurant a try. There were two young men working the lounge. One of them , tall, lean and hair to the shoulders. The other dressed, in all black western wear and had a beard. We sat at a table and menus were dropped on the table. I asked if we were a little early and his response was a sharp yes. Our order came to the table. No utensils or napkins. We also asked if we could have two small plates. They were given. All of this was apparently too much to ask. The bartender/waiter went back to the bar with cheese sauce on his beard. This was my boiling point. I told him to stop feeding his face. I barked out for the check and the tall guy asked us if we were walk-ins. I take it this meant someone off the street who is not staying there. I told them both it was much more then that, we were there for four days. The "bearded wonder" made change with part of his own money. A dollar to be exact. I gave it back. No other tip was given. Our stay was from the 9th to the morning of the 13th. This took place on the 10th around 4.45 pm. We did not return to the lounge at my wifes request. Clean this part of Vanessie up.

This was a terrible experience. I couldn’t even stay in this hotel. It smelled like chlorine and chemicals. I got an allergic reaction from it and when I tried to conduct staff for anyone about it, they never responded and charged me for the entire stay, even though I never stayed in the hotel. Absolutely terrible I recommend no one stay here ever.

The air conditioner was loud, there was no insulation and my room was right on the road. Anytime someone walked by it was like they were in the room with me. Very loud! Also the WiFi signal would drop every half hour or so.

The AC worked in our room, but it was not overly warm during our stay. The on-demand water heater in the bathroom sink registered at 67 degrees (F). The shower had plenty of hot water.

Historic, Santa Fe Style Room! Our room was huge, with a separate sitting area, full fridge/freezer, Kuerig, wood burning stove and balcony. We had a Delux King Studio. It was room #7. Breakfast was tasty and generous with bacon, eggs, hash browns, french toast, fresh cut fruit, berries, Greek yogurt, regular toast and juice/coffee/milk. My only complaint was that I didn't get to stay longer!

We were so pleased the minute we got to the hotel. Checking in was so pleasant and the room was beautiful. It was clean and our stay was very pleasant. Close to all the shopping, we will definitely go back and stay there.

The staff was amazing, literally took us to our room and showed us around ! Then we ordered door dash and they delivered it to the front desk and instead of calling for us to come grab it, he brought it to our room! Talk about impressed ! Went above and beyond !
