"The aesthetics of the property are a little less than would be desired but that said super quiet room and well situated near the airport. I slept well and getting to my flight was easy."

"The staff. the valet - Hugo was such a gentleman, so joyful! Wouldn’t let us touch the door lol, such a great help in valet. the customer service - I did have a moment of confusion with the charges to my card but it got resolved. Lora in HR was patient and helpful with clarity. & the accessibility - having access to the gym, atm, market, pool, bar & dining area.. etc.. the hotel was close to a lot of the activities we had planned. The room was nice! The cleaning lady did her job well! .. Didn’t get her name :( but overall I enjoyed my stay."

"1. When I entered room was extremely hot and it takes couple of hours to cool down temperature because thermostat minimum temperature goes to 78 degree Fahrenheit only. 2. I was unaware that hotel will charge me $86 pet night for parking and no one at check-in told me. I got billed 2 days after check-out."

"A heritage building full of character with a SUPER convenient location! While you definitely visually see its age in the hallways and rooms, all is maintained well and clean. ALL of the hotel staff (front desk, manager, valets, maintenance, housekeeping) that I met during my stay, from mid-day to late evening (I’m not a morning person) were SUPER helpful, kind and empathetic. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance during my stay (April 23-29/26, Room 430). It truly felt like a home away from home with the staff the community. My stay was unusual (cleared out a local locker, locker contents was delivered to my room) and they were all accommodating with this challenge of mine. A couple of minor issues: TV needed maintenance to fix it twice, coffee maker was defective, housekeeping switched it out, hotel cards were very sensitive to credit cards/cellphone, so I needed replacements several times I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Santa Monica. It will be my only choice when I come back. Thanks again to Elina, Diana, Francisco, Roderick (?) and all the staff! I wish I remembered everyone’s names."
