"Fabulous location, set in vineyards and olive groves. Ended up in one of the suites overlooking the pool, which was wonderful. Restaurant menu was varied and the food was good. Great staff, who also arranged a visit to the Santa Vitoria wine cellars for us."

"A beautifully maintained property, room very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Charming and elegant owners, justifiably proud of there home and business. A petting 'zoo' of lovely birds and animals is included in their land. Dogs were welcomed and good safe walking is immediately outside the gate. Lovely breakfast included. Nearby town did not have much to offer but we ate well there."

"It was a relaxing place to rest after a long drive from Porto city. Surrounded by farmland it was a quiet and serene, Staff was professional. Breakfast was great...ample choice and variety of delicious fresh food. Although we did not utilize, there are two swimming pools available. Added bonus were the farm animals....great for all ages. "É a minha segunda vez no Monte do Giestal, mas tal como na primeira, uma estadia prolongada de 5 dias. Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. "
