"This hotel was great. The location was perfect and the breakfast was amazing. The staff and communication was also very good. Only two draw backs were the beds were a little hard and if you are downstairs, people in the upstairs rooms make noise that transfer downstairs and is very loud. We had two rooms and in both rooms, the noise from upstairs was bad while we were trying to sleep. "The Rock Guest House is a beautiful, well maintained facility. They served a wonderful continental breakfast and since we had to check out early, they provided us with a breakfast to go! Getting to the port was easy - just walk down the road. Going back was good exercise if you enjoy a gentle climb. We highly recommend it."

"The staff were so pleasant and so helpful with anything we needed.
The kitchen staff work so hard in the mornings to ensure everyone is getting their breakfast and there is always a supply of food.

"Beautiful property, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. The host was incredibly kind and offered great tips for exploring São Miguel. Perfect location to relax after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again."

"We had a wonderful, spotless room with a private, modern bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Beautiful! Although we had a late arrival (after 10:00 pm), Luisa stayed up for us and helped us to our room. She welcomed us and then walked us to a nearby restaurant, since we hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and joined us for a bite to eat. Really! After 10:00 pm! Luisa was very helpful throughout our week long stay. She directed us to a small grocery, gave restaurant recommendations...
