"We recently stayed at Quinta de la Rosa for three nights, having started our holiday in Porto. We took the train from Porto, which is a lovely way to enjoy the Douro Valley. On arrival we were able to get a taxi from outside the station and 10 minutes later were at the Quinta. "The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!"

"The property is breathtaking. The views, walking paths, history- everything is beautiful and peaceful. Although room was small, we didn’t spend much time inside- so many things to enjoy outside. We had garden view rooms and it had a very beautiful porch with roses. The whole property is very well maintained, and not touristy at all. Peace and quality everywhere .Dinner was lovely."
