Great service

Great host lovely ensuite room fantastic location especially if going to the outdoor theatre. Breakfast at the cafe 2 doors down was lovely. Definitely stay again

Ideal for a quick overnight stay. We were only there to sleep. Room was quite basic but had the essentials and was nice and clean. Bathroom small with no window but served its purpose. Friendly staff at check in.

Average at most

Host was pleasant and said to ring if we needed anything. It said breakfast was included but didn't get given any details to where to go for breakfast. I saw others saying you had to go to a cafe up the road but I wasn't given any information. Beds were very comfortable. The shower was mouldy and only trickled out. It was ok for the few hours that we needed the room for.

Room was very clean and well presented. I booked a king size for one night with breakfast, was told on arrival they didn’t do breakfast. We fell asleep around 9pm I woke up about 12.00 very cold no heating was on and quilt was only 10.5tog. This let the stay down will not rebook

Excellent attentive service from the owner Joe at all times nothing was too much trouble and a few minor issues were rectified immediately to our full satisfaction Would highly recommend The Meltham Guest House if you are looking to stay adjacent to the North Bay close to all the attactions that it has to offer Will definitely be staying again and myself and Jeff would personally like to wish Joe every success for the future Many thanks for a perfect stay between Christmas 2024 and New Year

We had booked a twin room, however on the day of arrival the owner has painted the room, so we ended up both been put in double rooms. The rooms we stayed in were very clean, offered tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite.

We hadn’t been to Scarborough before we booked the Meltham off Expedia we were pleasantly surprised the host was lovely very welcoming couldn’t do enough for us , the room was very clean, bright and spacious , and the bed was so comfortable will definitely be staying again

There was no where to have breakfast we had to go to the cafe on the corner which was very unclean there where snail trails all over the carpets the carpets were all dirty it was the worst place I have ever eaten at discusting

We had a ground floor room which was nice and clean but didn’t have an outside window which was a bit strange. The included breakfast was actually in a cafe next door to the property. Good location for the Open Air Theatre.

Does not serve breakfast !!

Booked as breakfast included but was told on arrival no breakfast is provided. No discount or refund for breakfast , just told no , we don’t do breakfast. Basic room , shower was very hot and not powerful at all , it was a mission trying to use it without getting burnt. Room clean enough and we slept ok . No parking , the street is crammed full of cars , we got lucky squeezing into a spot down an alley but it’s not ideal. We booked for location for the open air theatre , it’s perfect for this only 5 minutes down the road. It doesn’t really seem to be a manned hotel , I texted the guy with our arrival time and he was there to give us the keys but we never saw anyone after that. We wouldn’t book this place again purely for the breakfast issue
