Access the Pu'u Hapapa trail from KoleKole Pass. Trailhead up to Pu'u Hapapa is not marked, but it's easy to spot on the left side of the field clearing just before the KoleKole lookout. The short but steep climb up is worth it.
The picture just doesn't give the tree justice, this thing is huge

The room was clean but hotel is very dated. Staff was pleasant. Luckily there was oarkung available. There was a sign advising if parking was full to park at Best Western down the street. Condo worked out great. Great location right on the beach, clean and well stocked. On-site management (Kim) was very responsive whenever we had questions. The homeless camps in the area were a bit of a downer but all n all a great stay.

Thermostat could not be set lower than 72 degrees which was sometimes too hot in the Villa. Security around the pool was rude with telling us that pool hours ended. Otherwise, great location
