"The “showers” are dated, bathrooms appalling, hallways depressing. It is not ADA compliant. No decent mirrors, ice, hooks in bathroom, counters in bathroom, no notepad or pen, no food in town. It was awful."

"The staff were all so welcoming. We had a lovely view from the fourth floor out the valley to the ocean pat Ferndale. The $2 beer/cocktails for happy hour were a treat! Good short stop for our trip to Humboldt County. Recommended!"

"Stay was ok, but the property did not look like the pictures. Pictures make your stay look nicer, shinier, better than the actual facility. We stayed just passing through one night but I would have been really disappointed if we had stayed longer since the pictures looked so cute but the reality just was not as nice or safe feeling."

"This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The hair dryer was broken so they brought me a new one. The bedside electrical outlets in the lamp did not work. Could not charge phone or use medical equipment."

"Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"Breakfast was less than amazing. Sparse to our taste. Entire property is showing its age. We understand it's under new ownership so perhaps it will be spruced up as it deserves to be. Great location- walking distance to historical downtown and next door to the Hadley Garden. Amenity in bathroom included a bottle of body wash and one tiny bar of soap. Bed was very high and it was difficult to climb into for a short guest without help."
