"The Hotel Liber is the last stop on the train line and one stop pass Universal. When everyone is leaving Universal, they will be packed in the train like sardines trying to head back into Osaka. You’ll go away from all this and will likely be one or two person on the train. The hotel has a ton of amenities and feels very American— abnormally large and grand. Get the breakfast, worth it."

But when you don’t get the room cleaned or the amenities like towels and it leads to a 20 minute argument at the desk - it leads to a bad experience and thus HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS HOTEL. "This is a lovely hotel super close to the Kyoto train station. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are reasonable size. Bottles of water are supplied but it would be nice for them to be in the fridge cold after a long day. A generous selection of toiletries, tea, coffee and tourist information on the entrance level. "This hotel was fantastic! Great location, close to Kyoto station, clean, staff was super helpful, they provided many items such as face masks, hair oil, toothpaste, toothbrush, coffee, tea, etc… we did not try the breakfast but they have a happy hour with nuts, juices, beers, etc. Richmond hotel made our Kioto stay memorable!"
