"Great scenery and a very convenient location."

"An amazing stay! I got upgraded to a room with a better river view and the perfect view of the bund.The hotel is a few minutes walk from the bund and the river yet super quiet. Everything was clean, smelt fresh, and was the most at home I felt in a hotel (I been to quite a few). The staff was helpful especially those at the restaurant Fifty 8 shout out to Carrie who was our server! Even the ayi (cleaning lady) was super nice, she found out I spoke Mandarin and was telling me about her hometown...

"Room was spotless and the staff were very polite and went out of their way to help whenever possible. Breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of different cuisines. Location is on the Bund and it doesn’t get better than that. Many shopping malls nearby and historic attractions are just a short walk away. Besides its rich cultural heritage and history, I highly recommend staying here for its convenience and excellent service."

From the first email I sent to the reservation and their incredibly prompt respond, to the transport arrangement from the airport organized to by the concierge to the fastest check in done by Sunny, who was the most gracious and professional ever, to then to Jason, my butler who helped me with choosing the perfect room with the view! Fernando at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful...

"We highly recommend couples to stay at the Waldorf Astoria. Our room was stunning — beautifully designed, spotless, high-tech, and incredibly comfortable. The bed, especially, gave us some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling. The staff also thoughtfully prepared a cake for us, and their service throughout our stay was impeccable. "川側のお部屋にアップグレードしていただけました。少し内陸側なので、景色は夜景よりも日中の方が良かったです。 お部屋は清潔で広々していて、快適でした。大きな書き物机や広いバスタブ、ダイソンのドライヤーなど、お部屋備え付けのものも充実していました。また、夜着で、滞在中も日中は外出していましたので、ネスプレッソのディカフェのカプセルが置いてあったのもありがたかったです。 スタッフの方はにこやかな方が多かったです。ドライバーさんやドアパーソン、食事会場で英語があまり通じない方もいらっしゃいましたが、現地の人曰く普通だそうです。朝食会場は入り口から左右に分かれていて、一方は中華、もう一方は洋食、とのことだったのですが、実は洋食コーナーの奥にもワンタン麺や中華風朝ごはんを出してくれるコーナーがありました。最終日の朝食を食べ終えた後に気付いたので、次回の楽しみにしたいと思います。"

"The room layout is perfect. Enjoyed all the detail. Leather covered at coffee counter, and sliding shoes rack at the wardrobe bottom are very thoughtful. The only thing that can be improved is the shower area which is mixed with bathtub area, make it all wet during showering, especially when the rain shower is used. Rail bar for wet towel should be added."

"Absolutely loved this stay. Just a 10-minute walk to the Bund, with charming old houses along the way. The room was spotless, the bed super comfortable, and I slept like a baby. Great water pressure in the shower. The laundry room on the 4th floor was a huge plus—wash and dry in one go. Nice gym for a quick morning workout, and the rooftop terrace has an amazing view of Lujiazui at night. Front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and even recommended some great local Shanghainese restaurants....
