"Breakfast was very good. Set menu daily. Lots of options for food (oatmeal, yogurt station with all the fixings, fruit. Etc ontop of the hot options. Room was horrible. I paid for the executive suite with kitchenette part and it was dirty.. sheets were ripped, hair on bedding, windows were filthy it made having the curtains open feel so dungy and gross. Safety hazard is what concerned me the most. No screen in window and we were floor 14. Not enough toilet paper given or towels had to ask for more. Tv was smart tv decent size. Kitchen stuff was dirty and food on utensils. Would like manager to respond to me to get a discount. The safety issue was not okay. I tried asking the front for manager email or contact but they wouldnt provide it. Elevators was soo small the luggage cart barely fit. My mother who is physically disabled had to wait 15 min when we first got there for an elevator to our room. The cleaning staff kept hogging it and other elevator was broken down. Kind of a crap experience. Wouldnt recommend. "

"Great room. Booked mainly for the jet tub. But didnt realize it was in the middle of down town till i got there. Enjoyed my stay."

"Positives: clean setting, comfortable bed; good shower/bathroom; generally very cheerful and welcoming staff. Negative: inadequate sound-proofing; uneven responsiveness by under trained staff when dealing with issues. In specific, I contacted the front desk in the evening after arriving on Saturday afternoon to inform them of extremely rowdy neighbours who were persistently treating the hallway as a loud bar. Anticipating further issues overnight, I specifically asked the front desk person to remind this group without any ambiguity about property rules pertaining to after hours noise rules as they seemed about to attend a prom or a wedding that night. I was reassured repeatedly that this matter would be addressed immediately and directly. Unfortunately, I was woken up on four different occasions by the same group overnight — ahead of a full conference day. After calling the front desk at 1:30 a.m., a security guard was sent up to the floor, who went straight back down after asking the noisy neighbors in the hallway “are you guys ok?” and being told “yeah!” I finally had to open my door at 4:00 a.m. to confront this group myself assertively. Needless to say, I had to attend the first day of my conference on Sunday right after an extremely poor night of sleep. I will not be booking at this property in the future given both the undertrained staff and inadequate soundproofing, and suggest avoiding the place if anyone is attending a conference or other productive stay. "

"Overall very good hotel stay. The reason for 4star vs 5 is we had booked a larger suite but unfortunately the suites ar3 o front of hotel overlooking Memorial Drive. Lots of road noise. A different room was available after one night trying the suite noise. Great location & great staff."

"Enjoyed our stay, the room we had, had everything we needed and more. We fortunate to be there for the hotels 4th anniversary and were invited to light refreshments which was a very kind gesture and truly appreciated. As much as we would like to stay again, we probably won’t visit Calgary again, however I highly recommend to anyone, choose Coast Downtown, you won’t be disappointed."
