"Locally owned and ran by a friendly couple. The room was clean. It was a bit cold when I first got in but turning up the baseboard heaters helped that. The floor was a bit chilly to walk on. One of the chairs upholstery was dirty. All bedding and linens were clean and cozy. The bathroom was small but clean. Not appropriate if you need a handicap bathroom but worked well for this single traveller. Also had a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a table and 2 chairs, and a little kitchenette...

Given black garbage bags to place our belongings in. 2nd room dirty, not cleaned from prior guest’s stay. Continental breakfast area was dirty and a foul smell filled the area. There was a large bowl of yogurt on ice, a loaf of bread, boiled eggs, a container of cereal, and a gallon of milk placed on the counter and left there for hours, no ice. The only part that looked decent was...

"In a really central and fun area of Fremont. The spot was great for what it was—historic chic and relatively clean for a hostel. Only complaint was that the mobile radiator put out very little heat. The huge rooms get super cold in the 30-40 degree weather and could have used thicker (or an extra stash of) blankets in the lockers. "
