"Very enjoyable stay for a Christmas event. The food, waiter service and music/DJ were all excellent and the photography was an unexpected highlight for the evening. My only comment is the room could have been better decorated with Christmas decorations as the outer edges of the room were quite bland."

A special mention for the Receptionist who checked me in on Sunday 18 January 2026. She was very welcoming and carried my bag to my room."

"Staff very helpful, lots to do (including free video games!), nice pool and sauna, gym not too bad for a hotel. Very kid and dog friendly and lovely grounds. A little far for local food options but is worth it as it was nice and relaxing. There are also food options in the hotel itself. Lots of options for breakfast buffet. Would definitely go back again hopefully for longer. "

"Outstanding service - food brilliant. Stayed in a suite - certainly met my expectations. The hotel is situated in most lovely estate grounds - hotel has so much history and character - looking forward to returning! "

"The only downside to the hotel is the lack of parking. Whilst you can pre-book reserved parking at the railway station it's a 5 minute walk away, so not ideal with luggage, particularly if it's raining. However, that won't put me off staying again as everything else about it is wonderful! Our room, which was an executive king size, was lovely and big and the bed was very comfortable and much bigger than our king size bed! The breakfast is self service and has a wide variety of pastries and...
