I like this hotel for it's excellent value, convenient location, parking, large comfortable rooms and a sence of old fashioned luxury. Have stayed here a few times now and very likely will again.

Ahmed was extremely helpful when checking in. The hotel was clean including the leisure club. Kids enjoyed swimming. Breakfast was good but the vegetarian sausages couldn't been better.

The hotel exceed my expectation after read reviews on how dated the rooms have been for the other travellers. There was a wedding in the Easter weekend and the hotel had kindly arranged a room at the top floor, away from the party and the noise. The boys enjoyed the swimming pool very much. Reataurant staffs were great and food was excellent. I feel that the room has been refurbed, the carpet and decorations look fairly new. I wouldn't say it's modern like some new hotels but certainly clean and comfotable and the setting is grand and old style luxury.

The room allocated to me was above a terrace that adjoins a function room. There was a wedding party tha spilled on to the terrace.The music annd loud talking e it impossible to sleep. I complained to receptionist at 11.30 pm and was told “ I am sorry but there was nothing could be done and the noise would continue until 12.30. Ruined our weekend

Beds were uncomfortable, noisy for a portion in the night, also requested for extended checkout, despite being granted extended checkout still had hotel staff knocking door at 10.20 am for room to be vacated.

Ok but when you pay £100 a night you expect more
So much potential but the hotel is tired and needs a revamp. The bathroom looked bit shabby and so did the corridors. Thin walls and earplugs needed to sleep. No fridge in room and boiling hot heating. However, the staff and service was great as was the pool area. For £100 a night - you can do better - such a shame.

As you drive up to the hotel you think you’ve finally beat the system and grabbed a bargain which all in all I did at £55 for a double room for the night set in the beautiful rolling hills but once you head into reception and look around it looks a bit tired but still acceptable, I’m not a golfer I was here on business so I can’t speak for the golfing side of the hotel, even though the hotel and room are a bit dated and tired it was clean and has all you need so I would definitely at that price use it again. Nice staff, plenty of parking.

We enjoy staying at Hollins Hall but it was unfortunate that the pool & spa was closed and we were not forewarned about this As usual the food & service was great

Beautiful Hotel and grounds, lovely staff. The menu was a bit limited for evening meals and leaned towards quantity over quality. The breakfast times could do with being a bit earlier during the week when people would be visiting the hotel for business purposes, there were alot of people milling about in the lobby waiting for the breakfast room to open. Otherwise everything else was lovely.

Nice hotel in good location
Nice hotel with great facilities including pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Rooms are clean and of a good size. Could do with a refurb through our the hotel. Would have like the room to be refreshed at least once during a 4 night stay as kept having to ask reception for more items.

Great as always
This hotel is just fab. Lovley lady in reception let us check in early as room was ready. Room immaculate and 2 double beds. We go hers every year at xmas as its relaxing and good value. Breakfast choice is great and something for everyone. Will definitely be returning next year.

Nice enough for 1 night, but it looks tired in places. Our room was cold, the shower had a leak. The bed was very uncomfortable it was so hard, i dont think it had a matress on it. The pool was nice.
