"One Elevator remained broken the entire stay. Water in bathroom was absolutely horrible and smells like sulfur, it was awful. How does a “remodeled” hotel have no alarm clock?? The rooms smelled musty after speaking with others on 3rd floor. The breakfast was basically empty metal pans. Sadly, this property has gone down hill and looks like it won’t be our “go to” place to stay when in town. "

The only issue we had in 5 nights was that our laundry was stuck in the laundry closet for over 12 hours as the door battery died and front desk did not have a key to get in, and property maintenance was also unable to open the door until the following day - no one checked on us or kept us in the loop so we just had to keep trying until we could get our clothes back, no apologies or anything. "Bathroom lighting was lacking. Very dark and almost impossible to put on make up. Shower didn’t look clean, and they supplied shampoo and body wash but no conditioner. Bath towels were very small. The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable along with the pillows. We had a nice stay."

"This was such a neat hotel. We loved the Tap Room at the sister hotel. The food was amazing there. We didn't get to try anything from the bakery, but it all looked wonderful. The pool area and outside bar had a great feel to it too! I would highly recommend the Avalon or the Hollander for anyone visiting St. Pete's."
