Staff at check-in located in nearby 'Central hotel' were friendly as was the housekeeping who needed to wake me up as I'd overslept (like I said the bed was comfortable). "We were upgraded to the an apartment which was incredible. We had a lot of space. The rooms were lovely. Kitchen had coffee, tea, chocolate and biscuits. The staff during breakfast were very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our breakfast. Would certainly recommend and we will be back. "

"Lovely hotel, beautiful old main house with wood fires, panelled rooms, lots of lounges and spots to relax. Friendly reception and clean modern rooms in the mews. Plus two cats! Only thing to mention is that the signs for the outbuildings were a bit difficult to see when we arrived (in the dark & heavy rain), maybe they could be illuminated too? Otherwise a nice place to stay, we would like to go back and explore more of the history, grounds, bunker and restaurant."
