" Here’s a polished version of your hotel review: The stay was disappointing overall. At check-in, we found out there was a deposit required for each room, even though both rooms were booked under one reservation. That should have been explained more clearly ahead of time. When we got to the rooms, the bed sheets were stained and had hair on them. After we reported it, the staff did change the sheets, which I appreciated. However, as soon as I walked into the room, my luggage snagged on the rug and lifted the corner, and there was visible dirt underneath. The TV in the living room area also did not work. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel were not up to par. There was a bug on the curtains, and the floors felt so dirty that you wanted to keep your shoes on at all times. You can tell this used to be a nice hotel with modern features, but it definitely needs better cleaning and maintenance. The parking situation was also awful. We were not given proper instructions on how to validate the parking tickets. One of the male staff members was very nice and did comp one of the parking charges, which I appreciated. Then, on the last day of our stay, we found out we were actually supposed to have been given a parking pass to scan daily. That information should have been provided from the beginning. The complimentary reception with free drinks was a nice touch, but the complimentary snacks looked unappetizing, so I would not recommend them. "

"The property is clean but OLD and needs a facelift! The location was the main reason and lobby was nice but as you get to the elevator u feel it’s old hotel and once u get to the room u feel like you have been exported back in time as the carpet is old, furniture is old. Doors and windows are NOT soundproof and the walls are thin .., you can hear other people passing by or in the next rooms 🙈"

"Staff are really nice. Great location. A few restaurants within walking distance. Very close to Georgetown. We took an Uber there. This was our second time staying here. We will be back. Didn’t see a pool. "

Other conveniences less accessible however. Although the room was comfortable and clean, decor lacked much appeal and there was no mini-fridge. "

"Great location near the metro for quick and easy access to DC. Hotel was very clean, staff friendly, and great breakfast. Price for parking was less as well compared to other hotels in the area. Would stay again if I ever go back to this area"

"I have stayed here many times and usually have an excellent experience. However, this time it was not so great. The plumbing needs some work. Our toilet did not work and I assume because we didn’t get to the hotel until almost 11 PM but we didn’t staff wasn’t working. Therefore someone did not show up to the room until 12:30 AM. Housekeeping, or somebody should check to make sure the toilets are flushing when they review the room. Apparently that did not happen. I also saw some hairs on the lampshade in the bedroom. I had a suite. The bathroom was really small in the suite. I would likely not due a suite again. We were awoken at 7 AM on Saturday either due to construction or just loud noise. We faced the alley, which was not a nice view at all. You would think they would give me some sort of preference or about around after how many nights I’ve stayed there this year.! "
