"The North cliff hotel was a wonderful place to stay Lovely clean room and staff were very friendly and attentive , the breakfast was excellent cereal , fresh fruit & Greek yogurt and a full English breakfast The views were breath taking there was so much to see around Lynton & Lynmouth I will definitely be going back to visit"

Pub light meal good and Sea Shanty singers a bonus.Good position to enjoy Lynmouth and convenient for the excellent Cliff Railway to see Lynton. enjoyed the Norther Walk and the Valley of Rocks. Very friendly people - made to feel welcome, thank you."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We were walking the SWCP and were glad to stop earlier on this leg. (Just dont take the road to the lighthouse and then climb the scree over the hill: steep and dangerous). The room was excellent. Comfortable. Delicious dinner down stairs, and lucky for us on our night, a live singer providing a musical background atmosphere. She was lovely, and just the thing to elevate the evening to next level."

"The hosts Nick and Melanie were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable. The location was perfect and just a 2 minute walk to shops and restaurants in Lynton. The breakfasts were superb."

"Great breakfast and best dinner in Lynmouth - you need to book as it stands out with its great chef making what sounds like usual pub grub on the menu quite special. Although our room was above the main pub area it is still quiet early enough for a good night’s sleep. Some people struggled with the very old, small and steep steps in building so if you have mobility issues it might be worth asking for a room accessible from the outside. Lovely, big room with harbour view. A little awkward to shower in a bath with no shower curtain or similar. Most of the staff came across as very stressed, service at both dinner and breakfast was slow and at times confused and unhelpful. There is one young woman who the owners should treasure and keep - she added a welcoming, friendly, human touch and was also the one that seemed to be on top of things"

"This is a beautiful period building set back overlooking the river. It was quiet and peaceful, and the breakfast is fabulous. The rooms are cosy and clean and you get a good nights sleep. Easy walking distance into Lynmouth and the cliff railway. We didn't use the car at all. Valley of the rocks is a woodland / coastal path walk away (steep) but fine for anyone able to do it. We loved our stay."

"Very welcoming host. Comfortable room with fabulous sea view. Great shower, a little warm overnight but we've had extreme temperatures. Breakfast cooked to order and really tasty. Location was great as we walked to the Valley of the Rocks straight from the hotel. Limited parking but we were saved a space nearby on the road. Would thoroughly recommend. Lovely spot, thank you 🙂"
