"The place was clean! A bright, simple room, one queen bed, a window to the street, bathrooms close by across the hall. There's a roomy kitchen-living-relaxing space, fridges, free tea and coffee (the manager, John, makes a pot in the morning.) The location was excellent--right on the corner of Bastion and Commercial street, giving you walkable access to all the main attractions of Nanaimo. The girl at the hotel counter was very rude and unprofessional. She did not know how to speak to customers respectfully and lacked basic customer service skills. Good hospitality starts with polite and professional staff, so this part of the experience was not satisfactory."

"I’ve stayed here a few times, and the staff have always been kind and helpful! We got the standard 2 queen beds, the room is spotless, the beds are comfortable and there’s great wifi and cable! The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for some home cooking while you’re away! The motel is super close to many amenities (great Indian spot near by.) I always choose to stay here while I’m travelling!"
