"We ordered a box lunch for our excursion on the Agawa Canyon Train. Unfortunately my sandwich bread was stale. I mentioned this on checking out and the front desk person just said that she would inform the kitchen. Hmmm could have done better than that. Otherwise our stay was great, lovely, friendly helpful staff both at the front desk and in the dining room. Our newly renovated room overlooking the river was very nice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return."

"Outside of property needs attention. Room was clean, seemed small but we got our cooler, bike and a few camp supplies in so wasn’t too bad. Found a little mould in bathroom tiles but very minor. Small bathroom but adequate and good water pressure"

"Our room was renovated, so that was nice. A very lovely view of the water! And a nice area to take the dog. A few minor things like broken screens (so we couldn't open the windows), loud bathroom fan, and broken picnic table in the yard made it look a bit rough. The person at the desk when we checked in kept yelling at the staff. He seemed unhappy."

"Clean room, comfy beds. Good amount of space. Only downfall was the coffee machine was tiny and the pot handle wasn’t situated on the pot properly. There were no facecloths in the bathroom and the shower refused to give hot water, despite leaving it running for over 5 minutes!"

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"
