"Worst experience ever! Do not stay here!
I arrived late at night and was told there is water shutdown and we could not wash or shower till next morning. Terrible after a long sweaty summer travel day in Singapore!!! The Indian lady at the reception was not apologetic of the situation. Seriously it’s a planned shutdown. A hotel should not book guests if they could not provide the bare necessity.
The whole hotel was also smeared in an unhealthy chemical air, everywhere, the room, hallways, and...
"Dusit Thani Laguna was a perfect family escape — peaceful, spacious, and beautifully designed. We enjoyed the calm after busy days. It is a bit out of the city, but totally worth it for the comfort and quiet."
"The hotel was beautiful. The interior decor was stunning and I looked forward to coming back to the hotel every time we went out. The little complimentary touches of sweets and bath soak for the feet were lovely. The foyer of the hotel also smells beautiful. "
"Checked in at 2100. Fire alarm went off at 0100 in the services room next to my Room. Alarm was the result of a burst water main resulting in flooding of the floor with water to my door. Service personnel were working on the issue until 0400, loud voices, blowers and vacuum cleaners to remove the water. I got no sleep after 0100. Management refused to refund my booking - saying that I would have to apply through Expedia. Expedia report that the hotel has refused the refund and they have...

"As ever an excellent hotel with friendly, courteous helpful staff but had a problem at check-in when one of my party’s booking (made by me for daughter and her family as spouse and I had a sep booking) had gone from 2 adults and 2 children with 2 double beds when done in Expedia (have copy of receipt) to 2 single beds at check-in. Nah, that wasn’t going to fly. The Duty Manager sorted in 15 minutes, more kudos to her.
A problem of concern was the boardwalk around the pool at approx1500. The boardwalk is wooden but it is far too hot to stand on without footwear. If there are warning signs they need to be larger and more obvious. Consequently when daughter and her children (who swim like fish thanks to their parents) tried to WALK from the lounge chairs to the water they had to run lest they burned their feet. It is NOT safe to run at any pool.
Secondly, there are signs telling the pool users to shower before entering the water. Nobody at the pool did as most just ran into the water. My daughter ran (not wanting to) the shower area which had a slate floor and it was even hotter than the wooden boardwalk. She had to jump into the water to escape the burning and consequently did not shower. She told me her feet hurt for an hour afterwards.
It’s not as if daughter and her partner (the children’s father) are not used to pools as they are both qualified swimming instructors and are national and international swimmers.
Stay there again? Yes, a favourite. Grandchildren loved it"
"Convenient location to airport for last minute stay. Nice to cool down in the pool and relax pre-flight. Restaurant at hotel was nice (a little overpriced) but food was good and service attentive (not run by hotel). There are restaurants down the street but as was on my own (and jet lagged) wasn't feeling comfortable.
Complimentary shuttle to airport great - though they only operate at certain times. "
"Easy to get to from Changi airport, and conveniently located near MRT station. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it doesn't have a restaurant (there are options nearby though). Very nice experience overall. "
"We were staying for just a one night layover between Australia and the UK arrived at the hotel at 6 am just planning to leave luggage until we could check in but were offered an immediate check in with a buffet breakfast included for a very reasonable price. Made our stay much more enjoyable as we were able to eat and rest before heading out for the evening. Lots of interesting things to explore in katong near the hotel. "
