We enjoyed our stay and it was very reasonably priced for a Saturday night. However, there was red stains all over the carpet in the room and there was one pillow that stank of cigarettes, which is obviously disgusting. We slept ok though and it was quiet.

This place was okay at best. You could tell they have tried to put some work in but haven't met the mark yet. Shelves on wall were falling off and slanted meaning things didn't stay on them, no hooks in bathroom to hang things, bathroom sink tap sprayed when turned on everytime flooding floor each time. Drenched every time it was used. Smelled a bit musty. Advertising Christmas 2025 - stayed July 2025. Very little attention to details. Bathtub frame did not fit properly, yellow staining in bathtub.

Unidentified noise in room

There was an unidentified noise in the room we were given which was so noisy that we were unable to get much sleep. We contacted the hotel staff twice in the early hours of the morning but they were unable to resolve the problem and said they couldn’t move us because the hotel was full.

Sittingbourne special

Very pleasant reception when booking in and booking their restaurant - most helpful. Rooms were very clean and tidy with plenty of space. Our only issue was that the bathroom was divided from the rest of the room by a glass wall, which lit up the whole room when the bathroom was used at night. I’m sure it is a cost effective way of dividing a room, but not very practical if one of a couple needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Food at the hotel was very simple but good and tasty, including the breakfast. Service was also very good, although a bit patronising to be referred to as ‘my lovely’ several times! Would book again though.

Central location giving easy access to routes toward Canterbury, Dover etc & into London via train. Twin bedroom, clean, comfortable. Good option for short stay, onward travel. Couple of slight negatives - car park entrance, easy once you find it ! Issue with window in my room, either did not seal properly or problem somewhere around frame. Room almost directly over entrance with courtyard dining/drinking area below meant could hear everything as if window open. Not a big inconvenience for me personally but suggest is a maintenance issue which warrants further investigation. Overall very happy with stay & would definitely use this property again.

At this particular hotel you may get an iron but not an ironing board. You may get a body wash bottle in the shower but no actual body wash. You will get a bathroom door but it might not close. Also look out for the comedy sticker on the sink taps that says “Caution! High water pressure” as the water dribbles out. Also be aware that the breakfast hot plates stop being replenished about 30 mins before breakfast finishes. But the complimentary KitKat was a nice touch.

Noisy neighbours, noisy fans.

Sorry, don't like giving a bad review as they can affect those that do their own job very well, but this stay was not good. Parking great, big on site car park, check-in was ok but no real empathy or engagement from the staff, the room was fairly clean although big orange stain on the net curtains, bathroom was very nice, obviously recently re-furbed, but I was in Room 211, top floor, and for the full time of my stay they have fans on the roof above my room which sounded like a helicopter, all night, and outside my window the neighbours had 5 large dogs, barking for most of the night, I slept for about 90 mins max, tried to get a room move but apparently they were full (not judging by the amount of people in the bar that evening). Sorry but wont be staying here again.

Mixed review.

We were impressed with the lady who was clearing and cleaning at breakfast. Her name is Eva . A bit disappointed with the wet room, the floor was slippery and no thought was given to a disabled person using the shower. If you sit to shower the soap dispenser needs to be closer . It also has to be useable for someone with arthritic hands . I couldn’t squeeze it. We noticed when we arrived that the lift had new carpet. 48 hours later it still hadn’t been vacuumed. Little things make a difference. I went to use the rubbish bin outside the entrance and it was overflowing. A nice hotel spoilt by details.

One of the worst Holiday Inns!

Check-in experience wasn't great...no one to greet us at reception, so had to wait a few minutes before someone called to us they wouldn't be long. Lady on reception did not smile, and was not helpful when we asked to change rooms, being told the hotel was fully booked at 5pm so changing room was not possible (we had a problem with our room which was overlooking a very noisy residential area). Coming from a hotel background myself, I know not all guests would be checked in by 5pm, so a switch to another room should have been very possible). The hotel from the outside looked very run down and there was visible water damage on the inside ceilings, including in our room's bathroom. In our room, the bathroom was just seprated by glass pannels (very 1960s/70s?!) Which did not reach the ground, with no lock or handle on door, so absolutely no privacy whatsoever! Was however very clean, I could not fault this. Shower leaked all over the floor when on, so ground was dangerous after use, and any floor towels were soaked through. We tried to call down to reception from our room, but did not manage to get through (possibly no one there yet again?). When we headed downstairs to ask the lady on reception regarding booking a taxi, we were very abruptly told there would be no possibility of getting a taxi at that time. We explained we did not need one now, and so were grunted at and a card simply passed to us without any further word. Breakfast was a long wait for items to be replenished

Good parking, comfortable bed, courteous staff. However could do with: wardrobe space - drawers, cupboards (the only storage area was an open area for hanging items) healthier choices, more variety and decent coffee at breakfast. less noise from air conditioning vents above the second floor. proper opaque wall rather than glass door and wall to the bathroom.
