"The good part was that it was close to the national mall because we were visiting for July 4th. It was extremely hot during our stay and the fridge in our room didn’t work. When we asked for it to be replaced they said they couldn’t do anything. We asked where the Ice machine was located and they said the hotel guests have to come down with their ice bucket to the front desk if they want ice and they would fill it for us. "We ABSOLUTELY loved this boutique hotel!!! If I could give it 10 stars I would! Absolutely stunning decor in the common areas, the speakeasy, the restaurant, the rooms. All fabulous. The truffle popcorn in the bar is a winner and we watched the fireworks over DC from the rooftop bar. So much fun. Great energy. The service of everyone in the hotel and restaurant/bar was top notch!!!"

"I love the Eaton. Stay here any time I’m in DC. The beds are comfortable. The place is clean, love the tea kettle in the room, and the selection of teas and coffee. Appreciate the fridge and water too. It’s accessible to a lot of things if you have to get around downtown but don’t wanna be right in the mix of things. There are no restaurants on site right now so you can’t do room service, but the cocktail bar is very cool and the staff is really friendly. Can’t wait to get back."

Beds were comfy and the hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and a 23 minute walk to the National Mall. We felt safe walking around this area of the city. "Excellent location. Very walkable. Room was very clean. Breakfast was fine, although lines very long (we were there the week of July 4th), with no plates at one point and long elevator lines. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend."

"Loved this boutique hotel! Valets and check in staff were excellent, we loved the atmosphere of the bar, and the restaurant food and service were great. We booked a Superior King room for the July 04 holiday and it was very nice for the two of us. Clean, nicely decorated and the bathroom while on the smaller side was sufficient with a tub/shower stocked with soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Really like that this older gem retains a lot of the original character! A few blocks down 21st street...
