"I stayed 1 night at the lodge Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and nice room. I was booked by Expedia. The only disadvantage with the lodge you are not allowcyo use the solent swimming pool."

"It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place."

"Lovely hotel. Clean room. Exceptionally warm welcome from Micheal. Being shown to the room is a lovely touch, rather than being pointed in the direction of your room. We didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Car parking excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully enjoy the amenities, as this visit we were just staying for one night and didn't have time enjoy the splendour of the hotel."

"Classic English accommodations. An updated old Inn, I'll guess 1700s, complete with neighborhood pub on ground floor. Ceilings are still low, hit my head, but learned quickly. I got room 3, a little noisy from staff congregation outside, get a diff one yourself. Old timey pull chain on toilet , hilarious. Cool little village too, with fish n chips shop, but the fish n chips in The Crown Inn restaurant were great. We stayed here purposely for the UK experience vs boring corporate hotel marble...

"We recently stayed at this hotel after breaking down on our journey. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make our first night and phoned the hotel to explain the situation. The woman we spoke to didn’t seem very interested or concerned, and we were disappointed that nobody even asked if we were okay given the circumstances. "Had an amazing stay in tasteful and clean bedroom with comfy bed lovely Pillows and great bathroom. Lots of tea and coffee. Had dinner and breakfast in the pub and they were really tasty. Properly cooked bacon! Great wine list with lots of option. Really lovely beer garden and covered courtyard. Lovely staff. Also v close to Hambledon so a good base to visit there. Really recommend. "Loved this hotel. Loved the decor, staff, location and breakfast. What I didn't love was that the pictures posted on Expedia showed a much bigger room than I got including space for a couch. We could barely squeeze by the bed whereas the two other couples we were travelling with did have rooms as advertised."

We missed the Michelin star restaurant but the other restaurant on the sixth floor was also very good.
