Ryokan in Solidaridad

"Loved every bit of this resort, super clean and beautiful. Had so much great shows at night which my daughter loved. The walk may seem a little far but after a couple days you get used to it or you can take the shuttle that comes around. The pools are amazing, I love that have so many different pools, there’s some that are for the party people and some pools if you just wanna swim and hangout with your family. The waterpark is so fun too! Food was great, we mainly ate at the buffet but every night was good. You have to get a burger from the snack restaurant down by the beach, best burger ever! "

"Overall this is a nice resort. We stayed in early March during prime time. That being said here are the pros and cons: Pros - overall it is a nice resort with various things to do and pools to lounge around - staff were friendly and worked hard to make our stay pleasant - the food was good, and they had a good selection of drinks with name brands - bar service was usually pretty quick and there were bars and snack places at each pool - we mostly ate at the à la carts and enjoyed the food - we discovered late that the resort app offered free room service (between certain hours) called Ocean Eats, which offered fast food style lunch and snacks, it was great for us because we had a swim up room and had lunch by the pool - the rooms were large, beds comfortable, and were cleaned daily with the usual towel sculpture Cons - we’ve stayed at other Mexican 5-stars and, in comparison, this would be a 4.5-star - the buffet is small and poorly laid out leading to long lines at the egg stations and for buffet items - the buffet lacked the fresh items we’ve had at other resorts - we had issues getting longe chairs around the pools which is unusual for 5-star resorts - the resort uses towel cards with penalty for lost cards - the resort is long and thin and offers shuttles, these were inconsistent and we often just walked (our mother who has some mobility issues) - too many signs for expensive upsells - had to reserve à la carts which weren’t always open - lots of waiting"

"The resort is nice, staff is nice as well, food is just ok. Construction is happening on half of the property and drills or saws were going off while we tried to relax at the plaza. The one thing I really didn’t like was the room design, and I mean the new renovated room design. We came with two kids, the bathroom area is blocked off with frosted glass, with a door to the shower, door to the bathroom but NO door to the actual bath/sink area which made it hard to have privacy getting dressed etc. Also there is a coffee maker but no plug, unless you move the coffee maker to the nightstand or the bathroom. Overall, we had a good time but will probably not come back. "

"This is my third time at this resort and every time has been great. Honestly, the food is average but who goes to a sun destination for the food anyway. It's all about the sand, sun, and relaxation and this resort delivers. And it's close proximity to 2 major parks(Xplor and Xcaret) cut our travel time down huge so we could spend more of our vacation enjoying everything else! This resort is great for girlfriends, couples and families add there is something for everyone to enjoy. And it's jungle environment means you are immersed in nature and not packed on top of one another. "
