"I don’t know anything about the property. I booked the place by mistake via Expedia, and neither the hotel nor Expedia offered any financial relief. It cost 3 days/nights. Instead of the hotel trying to track me down, it was simpler to just register me as a no show and charge for 3 nights."

"The ultimate escape to real luxury with genuinely fine people. I loved the restored 19th-century palace with very spacious and sleek bedrooms that opened up to individual, private patios fronted by lovely gardens and singing birds. The swimming pool was fresh water, and if you got chilly in the spring weather you could jump into the steam room or sauna. Views of the countryside from the terraces were spectacular. The cuisine was very well prepared, a good fusion of traditional Portuguese food...

"Ein traumhaftes Gästehaus in wunderschöner Lage. Schon vom Bett aus konnte ich direkt auf die Salzwiesen blicken. Am ersten Morgen habe ich von der Dachterrasse aus Flamingos gesehen – ein ganz besonderer Moment. Die Natur ist unbeschreiblich schön, die Ruhe einzigartig. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr charmant und auch das Team ist toll – ich habe mich in meinem Zimmer rundum wohlgefühlt. Ich war so begeistert, dass ich direkt wieder gebucht habe."

"The common areas of property were well maintained, staff appeared to be very diligent. The rooms appear clean, definitely wear and tear, cracked sink bowl, door closing was off, trim over sink in bathroom could use a scrub in the detailed woodwork. I called multiple times because our room door did not lock, could be pushed open from outside, would lock when we were inside. The maintenance guys did arrive and worked to get it fixed. We did notice though that the door then wouldn't lock with...

"We rented a one bedroom apartment. It had everything we needed for the week we were there. The staff was very helpful, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We will definitely come back."

"Kitchen not well equipped for cooking, just warming up or cooking eggs, very few utensils and no oven. Cleaning staff friendly but not English speaking. Although Expedia stated that a hair drier available on request, we requested one and were told by the reception person that it was not available! Really disappointing, but parking very easy and location ok to walk to oldtown/ center town, although not always through sidewalks, watch the traffic and walk fast. "
