"My husband and I were very disappointed. We decided to stay here for nostalgia's sake because it was the first place we had stayed together 14 years ago. We were saddeProperty is run down. Cobwebs in our room. Highway noise was unbearable. Game room has more machines closed than open. No continental breakfast made it very inconvenient and expensive and wasted so much time. We regret that we booked 2 nights."

The staff were very accommodating and such a joy to interact with. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was served hot every morning with a variety of options for my hungry teens. The pool was great on a couple rainy days. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this particular location based on the staff alone....

"Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you."
