South Mountain State Park

Only about a 2 mile hike from the park and ride in Knoxville.

Popular day hike in the area. Met lovely people and a couple rattle snake along the way.

Lovely day hike with a rewarding view. There was a decent amount of people we encountered along the way and at the overlook but everyone was respectful of sharing the space.

Although this place is known for its graffiti and college parties, the view is worth the trip.

This is a short trail full of switch backs with a stunning view.
