"This is the second time I have stayed here, and we will be back. Staff are really lovely and very helpful, rooms have everything you need, are very clean and comfortable. We have stayed in other hotels nearby that are more expensive and nowhere near as good. Would highly recommend."

"This place feels like an odd mix — some aspects feel like a hip boutique hotel while others seem a bit “budget.” There is no actual lobby or dedicated hotel staff in the evening, so you collect your key from the large bar on the ground floor. The rooms are nicely decorated and well appointed (eg, nice bathroom fixtures, Nespresso machine in room), though quite dark. Good location in historic city centre. Nice touches like a refrigerator on the corridor that has bottles of cold filtered water."

"Extremely clean, well maintained, bed was uncomfortable though so could be updated. Be aware though, there are lots of stairs."

"The room appeared to have not been cleaned after it's previous accounts. There was what looked like fecal matter on the toilet seat, bodily fluids on the bedding which definitely hadn't been changed and the room smelt like someone had been smoking, even though this is illegal. The staff didn't seem to care when we handed the keys back and left without even viewing another room. Do not stay here, do not give them your money. The environmental health should inspect and close them down."

"Breakfast is very good - buy it at reception it is cheaper. The choice and freshness is excellent. Probably the only budget chain that offers guacamole! The sausages and bacon are better quality than a Premier Inn If arriving late at night, the walk from the car park is pretty horrible. (Albeit, the parking is cheap) The hotel is really convenient for the Railway Station"

"Good location, not too far from the railway station. The late check-out on a Sunday (1pm) was great for having a shower and changing after the Reading Half Marathon. Lots of places to eat nearby, if you don't fancy eating in the hotel. Room and bathroom were clean and functional. Tea and coffee-making facilities available."

"It's a good budget stay but I won't be staying again as the room wasn't very clean. Very hard to sleep at night as its a small room, toilet was out side the room which isn't great and also the shower is out and is a shared toilet and shower. Which when I book I was under the impression it was a Ensuite but its not. Like I said it budget friendly . Hope that helps any one. The staff was good."
