"An enjoyable 1 night stay in busy pub/hotel. Excellent position close to beach and a very reasonably priced bar. Small car park full mostly by beach walkers rather than guests, however street parking close by. We had a wonderful sea-view room. A few cons: building and rooms looking dated and tired, in need of a refresh. Would have made use of a fan as windows can only be opened slightly. A small fridge also to keep drinks cool would have been welcomed. Would stay again for certain."

"We had a very small room inland snug but unfortunately in the heat the small fan given to us was inadequate to cool the room.
We had dinner in the Jetty which was fabulous down by the waters edge with.a delicious prawn spaghetti and cod with crab.served by a very helpful young lady who was rushed off her feet.
Very helpful staff and a lovely continental breakfast"

"The younger staff members were super polite and helpful. The room was not well cleaned in advance of arriving and was not serviced during the stay. Evening meal seemed a bit like an oven heated frozen meal rather than freshly cooked. It may not have been but it seemed that way"

"Amazing, historic building with many original features such as a beautiful tiled hallway and original call bells in the corridor. However, the decor and soft furnishings are all a little tired and dated in the common areas and overdue for an upgrade.
We stayed in the Deluxe Double room with ocean view courtesy of the oriel window. Bed was comfortable, usual tea/coffee tray provided. A mini fridge would have been welcome; especially with the hot weather. Again, the curtains and furniture all...

"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags.
Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast.
Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"
