COVID-19 may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't halted our passion for exploring. Here are some tips on how to cope with the new challenges of travelling:

• Know if any restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for ID purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA officer.
• You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. You'll need to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Put any personal items (keys, wallet and phone) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to touch and inspect your belongings.

Take to the airways now and you'll probably see some changes. For instance, most carriers have put social distancing procedures in place and improved hygiene measures. Two good examples are:

• LATAM Airlines - this airline is known for providing passenger masks and capped capacity flights.
• Sky Airline - this airline is known for conducting passenger temperature checks and cleaning with disinfectant.
