"Lovely accommodation and location for a mid week mini break. Louise & Chris are very welcoming and helpful hosts. Breakfast in the dining room had lots of choices. Late afternoon was spent both days enjoying the garden views and birds and after dinner in the local brewery we relaxed in the shared loungeroom reading some of the many books available. "The Grange on Calgan Farm is placed on beautiful grounds with views over the Kalgan River. It is very quiet and relaxing, however, even though it is advertised as pet and child friendly the host is not particularly friendly towards dogs and children. We had a lovely time in Albany, and spent hardly any time at the Grange, with two adults, two teenage children and a labrador, expecting a dog friendly place, as it was advertised, but did not feel welcome with our dog. "It was exactly as described, a beautiful quiet place to rest. Added bonus was full of retro furnishing, we loved it. Also the dog Jake on the property was lovely and friendly and we will miss him.
