Breakfast was slightly limited (boiled eggs, for example, would be a welcome breakfast item to enjoy with toast and the good coffee), but the fresh waffle was delicious, as well as the fruit and yogurt. "I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+."

"Room was fine. Only stayed one night for a quick trip. Didn't realize that the restaurant was closed on Sundays. Was looking for a meal after a long drive, but there were plenty of places to eat in the area. "

Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of.
