"My expedia says check in at 3:00. Hotel says 4:00 and they were terrible at communicating when rooms were done amd we didn’t get in until 4:30. Parking was ridiculously expensive and they put two pending charges for $192.00 and $242.00 before they figured out the correct amount. Had to call back because they charged me for two valet parking permits when i purchased one.. not a great experience"

"Room was reasonably clean and intact. Location was good (for access to Forest Park, the Hill, and the Botanical Gardens). Looks like a formerly decent big hotel that must have lost its big-name franchise. Carpets in common areas appear to have been cleaned, but stretched/damaged in the process. Room had no Kleenex... and front desk couldn't provide any. Sink in bathroom was cracked and crudely patched, but functional. Toilet flushed, but very slowly...with the outcome always in doubt. ...

"Room was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The shower has a weird door situation. No coffee maker in the hotel and that was disappointing. Their lackluster breakfast is $11 and their restaurant/bar doesn’t open until 4pm. Can’t access TV subscriptions like Netflix or Hulu. Only one night of free parking across the street but then you have to pay daily. Thermostats had a set low point and the room got a little hot. The employees were incredibly kind and helpful. Won’t stay here again,...

"Dan was a fantastic host as well as being a very kind person! Rosie, the cohost, might be somewhat intimadating at first glance for some, but she is a very sweet character when you get to know her. Breakfast was made with love by Dan and the whole house is tastefully original as was my room. The area itself is very inviting and parking is absolutely no problem. A stay that will always be positively remembered."

"great location and unique decor; overall good vibe. the shag rug in our suite was not super clean (found a rubberband with someone else's hair in it) and the wallpaper in the bathroom had some odd stains on it next to the sink. was left with the impression things are just a little run down, but the overall experience was still good."
