"Quaint old stone cottage style building with lots of history, beautifully preserved and decorated. Very comfortable bedding, modern shower with push button control. Conveniently located to town center, shopping, and bus stop. Restaurant on site was excellent as well. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. "

"Very Basic breakfast included but was ok. Expensive upgrade to full English ! Walls on room were very marked and interesting items left in the drawers !! Reception isn’t manned and no one answered the phone or bell when we rang during an emergency which isn’t great ! Shame as location is perfect !"

"Fantastic stay at the Lansdowne. We were here on a girls trip and the Oakey cottage was a perfect home base! Easy parking right in front, 5 minute leisurely walk from shops and restaurants was amazing. Breakfast every morning was fantastic and the manager was always there kind and cheery greeting us in the morning which we enjoyed. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return in the future! "I would not recommend this property which I will explain below. When you arrive at the property you go through a corridor to a courtyard that has 4 rooms. The courtyard was nice but unfortunately it is all gravel which makes pulling suitcases difficult. The twin room is called the Hobbit Hole and it truly is. This is a room about the size of a walk in closet with a bed squeezed in horizontally and one vertically, neither bed has room for a night stand or lamp. There is a small desk between the...
