"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Extremely personable landlord, Craig. Room was prepared ready for us to check in early (off to a wedding after a long drive) and sandwiches provided on request which was very much appreciated. The room and bathroom were spacious and nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Little communal kitchen area provided everything needed for a late night snack and breakfast which was a nice touch. Heard from local friends at the wedding that the food is great too. "The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"There is no designated car parking, although there is a Council based car park behind the hotel, with a fee payable to the relevant authority. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of tasty morsels supplied. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the bearded guy on the evening shift, he seemed to be check in, come chef, come waiter role, top marks to him. "We asked hotel to confirm we could have a parking space, they confirmed by email but neglected to mention it would cost £15. Check on was great, friendly person and helpful. Room was nice but metal clothes rack by bed didn’t leave much room and I bashed my knee on drawer knob. Venue was not great for sleep, they had very loud music until 01:15 an we did not sleep well as road was also loud from quite early.
