"At the time of this review, the hotel is undergoing significant modernisation, and while the available rooms are awaiting work, it's great to see the investment being put in. The work importantly also doesn't disturb guests, which is reassuring. All the staff we spoke to were very kind and helpful, and the rooms, sheets and towels all nice and clean. The shower in our old room was very fiddly to use and impossible to get the right temperature, and the room was very warm, but this will likely be addressed with renovations."

Rooms aren’t soundproofed at all (you can hear people going to the toilet as well as doors in the corridor) and the gap under the door lets light in. Very cheap and cheerful for an overnight stay. Wasn’t my worst night sleep ever but have slept better. "

"After a long day of travelling i found the Courtyard to be the best of hotels to rest up and have a meal. The staff were great and so polite. Room quality was nice and spacious. High quality shower room. **Note to all. Remember to switch the power on just inside your room door. The taps are electric and won't work without the power on. That small detail caught me out !!! But other than that i would highly recommend this hotel for a stay. I will be staying there again. "

"Sam ( Manager), was very welcoming ,approachable and knowledgeable about the hotel and area. The bedroom was immaculate , there were plenty of warm drink provions, soft towels and toiletries provided. Our breakfast foods were fresh& tasty- there was a variety of cereals if you wishes, cooked breakfast, warm and cold drinks. Parking is at the front of the hotel and only £6 per night. All of the staff were very friendly and we would definitely recommend staying there. The sea is accords the road. Will definitely book again… Sam even carried our suitcases to our car. Very pleased-5 star!"

"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. There was sick and vomit on the side of the wall dried in there are multiple stains on the roof on the walls of the hotel room and over the bed. The mattress was completely filthy. Looked about 20 years old. I would not let a dog sleep in the room or even a cat the heating was switched off and did not work because of the pipework had been leaking. They were visible. Water stains all over the floor. All of the paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings and there was black mould on the windows of the hotel room. I went straight back to the hotel front desk and said the room is nothing like the ones in your photographs and I was told the hotel had not been redone for a long time and they know there is issues with the hotel and they’re trying to upgrade some of the rims when they can afford to do it however this is just the way their rooms are right now I asked and demanded to be moved to a different room. I was then shown another room which was even worse there is no elevator in the hotel room a lot of stairs and the hotel room smells of cigarettes and dogs and there was rubbish all through the hallwa"
