Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
10/10 Excellent
"Really great room Lovely pool Breakfast good but would’ve liked a choice of eggs Now the negative why oh why do hotel guests have to pay for parking? It’s a big car park and isn’t near city centre or anywhere that would make lots of non residents want to park there. If you’re using the pool or leisure facilities then you’re able to park for free but hotel guests are charged £8 per night. I have researched lots of other Marriott hotels across the country and even some of the city centre ones offer free parking to their guests. I think it’s a very poor decision to charge your hotel guests to park. "

Best Western Ipswich Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Was not happy with the parking. Had to park around the back of the hotel that was very rundown. No food on our first night. room 309.the walls are like paper. You can hear everything above and below. The hotel needs some serious investment. The staff were very helpful and friendly. "

Wivenhoe House Hotel

"I arrived late but the welcome was still amazing. Lovely room, well equipped with a beautiful view. Super breakfast and easy checkout. I will definitely revisit and recommend. "

B&B HOTEL Ipswich
8/10 Good
"Took my partner away here we stayed here for 2 nights. On arrival staff was very welcoming and helpful. Parking here is expensive but if you park on Compair crescent which is near (5 min walk) by it’s a lot cheaper saved myself £15.00. Convience stores are very near for your essentials. 1 Lifts was working on day we arrived and other was out of order. Then the other lift went down so had to use stairs in end for rest of our stay, which was ok but on departure we had to carry everything up and down stairs as had to make 2 journeys to room to get our belongings. Breakfast would been better if food was kept warmer as was only very luke warm when we had breakfast. Was very happy they provided soya milk so thank you . Didn’t buy any food or drink at the hotel but as thought prices was too high priced. Would stay here again to see if anything my comments has been listened too. But was a good stay apart from my negatives. Good bus routes into town and railway 5 min away so good location."

Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf & Spa
6/10 Okay
"In need of a face lift! Dated and tired, but clean and presentable. It just felt it had seen better times and desperately needed some love and some cash. Car park is scruffy, and unmaintained. Food is acceptable and the coffee is ok. WiFi not the best, but the bed was comfy."

The Mill Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Mill is a gem of a hotel with a picturesque location and walking distance from the main town facilities. The bedrooms are well-equipped and private parking is free for guests. Even though the hotel is very well appointed, the staff are friendly but not stuffy and it has a small hotel feel. The bar and dining room is spacious with the feature water wheel and views across the water meadows. The food is slightly more expensive than average pub grub, but it is tasty with good size portions. Looking forward to our next stay."

Holiday Inn Express Colchester by IHG
8/10 Good
"There was significant corrosion/limescal on the tap which was also leaking. A towel had dried blood stain (red) Staff great. Breakfast was low on supplies and restocking on quite a few items but food tasted great."
