"Hotel Cheval is a wonderful hotel that is beautiful, intimate and relaxing. Each room has access to the courtyard that has two large fireplaces, cozy sitting areas, a classic library space with a candy bar. The free breakfast is fabulous. The hotel is right in town so close to the center square and all the restaurants. The Pony Bar, which is part of the hotel has a great atmosphere and music at night. The hotel is pricey but but well worth it. "

"Our first room had serious hygiene issues, including insects and visible mold in the shower. My wife had to go to our friend’s room to take a shower in order to make it on time to our reservation. After reporting this to the front desk we were moved to the second room; however, this room has extremely poor water pressure, making the shower unusable. "The only thing I think that would be beneficial is if they opened breakfast at 6:30, instead of 7:00. For those of us that have to leave at 7 we never got the chance to eat it!!!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The check in was very easy and were welcomed by the attendant (I believe he is the owner and/or manager) and felt at home. The room was on the smaller side, but the whole property has been renovated and it was a terriffic stay. Highly recommended place to stay, for a town that you visit to get out and explore all that Paso Robles has to offer."

"The hotel was fine but upon arrival, I was told I needed a $200 cash security deposit. I booked this hotel and paid through Expedia for the stay. I offered my credit card but he refused saying too many times it doesn't work. I had just driven 6 hours and had prepaid for my room and didn't want to lose my $444 paid. Otherwise I would have gone elsewhere, Nowhere on your site or on the hotel site is this mentioned or noted. I would not have booked here if I had had that information. NOT OK!!"
