"Staff was courteous and excellent"

"Nice enough hotel, staff was friendly. Lacks sufficient parking when it’s busy. My biggest issue was of our 3 nights at the hotel, our room was only cleaned the first night that we stayed there. We came back on days 2 & 3 to the room not being vacuumed, our beds made. None of it. We ran out of clean towels and toilet paper. We decided to leave earlier than expected and return home."

"The pictures on the Website are deceiving the entrance needs some TLC, and they don’t give clean towels unless you stay 3 days which they don’t tell you when you arrive, had to wait outside my room every time I left to come back because the key didn’t work due to mechanical issues. For what I paid truly things could have been a lot better."

"I stayed at Rod & Reel for a family relative. Several relatives stayed there also. I was so impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk and security employees in the main lobby. One family member needed help getting to a family gathering nearby. One lady in particular went above and beyond to assist!"

"This was the worst didnt even stay dirty sheets small pillows not enough linens eberything smeared like not even cleaned. It was musty muggy and hot. The pictures and review have done nothing for this horrible experience. Staff rude and not helpful just walk by ignore you. Very upset drove 4 hours for a motor cross championship just to drive all the way home with a 9 year old and 16 month old at that. Very disappointing."

"First off, I would like to say the staff at this property are doing the best they can with what they’ve been given. This hotel is the most run down property I’ve stayed at. You can only do so much to tidy up a place when that is so obviously in need of repair. Also, for some reason the roughness of the property has seemed to draw a rough crowd. "Great breakfast, nice pool and fire pit. We were on 1st floor. Condo was nice, but could hear a lot from condo above us. A lot of people smoking pot on property too. Pool area needs someone to go in there and clean debris around fence line and I think they should upgrade the pool towels."

"The property is a bit dated but not enough to disrupt the quality of the stay. The highlight of the property is Keri and Precious! We were there on a very, very busy week and they worked so hard the entire time we were there. Even when people came to them with hiccups or complaints they did their best to remedy guests concerns (even those that were being unkind). If I choose to stay there again it will be because of those ladies."

"The rooms were not properly cleaned before arrival. The towels weren’t restocked completely for the little that was cleaned. The only thing truly good about it was the location. The toilet barely flushed. The hot tub in the room was disappointing. The ironing board was warped and broken. The soap and shampoo they give you as a courtesy destroyed my skin."

"Had the worse experience! I will never stay here again. We arrived at the hotel at almost 9:30 from a 10hr drive. Get everything situated at check in, we head up to our room and we walk to a dirty room, trash still in the room dirty sheets piled up on the couch, bed unmade like someone just rolled out of it. "To begin, upon our arrival, there were several individuals in the lobby who appeared to be local residents loitering in the area. The lobby itself was generally unclean, creating a poor first impression. The elevator was also dirty, and the hallway leading to our room had a strong animal odor. "Mary @ Front Desk was more than just that, she is a superstar and made us feel important and not invisible. She went above and beyond to help us when our reservation was canceled even after we were checked in.... it was a nightmare, but she helped us immensely. I will recommend The Spark to anyone traveling in Waldorf! We will also be back in the future."
