I stayed at G-suites for a quick two nights. The location is great, within walking distance of most central districts, the tourist sites, malls etc. Just remember to head to the river first, on the road which the hotel faces - if you don't strike a bridge within 100m you're on the wrong one. Once you've got the river and even a rough map in your hands, you're sorted. I'd recommend buying a local SIM and using google maps (or buying your own map beforehand) as the one provided by the hotel is promotional and useless.
The room was huge (we went for the biggest), clean and well attended to. The mini-bar could have had a few more drinks and snacks and an adapter or two would have been appreciated - but these are minor quibbles.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly and an early morning taxi was easily arranged, along with packed-breakfasts.
We dined at the G-suites lounge bar and the meal was excellent - great value, good portions. The DJ was a little loud in the evening but we were dining late... The only disappointment was misleading advertising relating to their beer offers (and it's difficult enough to find a beer in Surabaya post CVS sale bans...); the poster said one thing, but the waitress kept telling us the offers were 'out of stock'... Hmm.
Regardless, it was a great stay. Very comfortable, clean, central, good value.
