The reps from the hotel texted back and forth with me about it before we left, but the issue was never solved really. They did call later to try to follow up, but we were already on our way. "This is an interesting property, just outside of Bar Harbor. The hotel has a series of separate buildings with 4 units per building. Our room had a great set -up for my family with a bedroom with 2 double beds and a bedroom with a king bed. The breakfast was decent and filling. There’s a path at the back of the property that leads to a carriage road into the park. The staff was helpful throughout our visit. We didn’t take advantage of the events but there were s’mores every evening around a fire...

"I expected a better place for the amount of money we paid per night but I guess Bar Harbor is a very expensive destination. The room was ok. The shower head was broken and there was no hair dryer. Both issues were taken care right away. It was nice that they offered complementary snacks and drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Easy 10’ walk to restaurants and waterfront"

"We love the staff at the property!!! Michelle at the front desk made us feel like part of the family. She made sure our every needs were fulfilled and always went out of her way to help us. Dannette is the encyclopedia of the area. She shared her knowledge of the surrounding harbors and we loved all the places off the beaten path she recommended. We normally wouldn’t stay at a motel, but we had a hard time to say goodbye at Anchorage Motel!"

"Room was clean and tidy and the outside property is beautiful. This is an old, historic inn that definitely needs some updates and a more hospitable check-in manager. No “hello or welcome”, he just said “step over here” (in a dark corner) and “I need the card you paid with”. I responded with “Hello how are you today?” Not a welcoming friendly vibe from the front desk staff who are as poorly dressed as the inn. "We LOVED our 4 day stay at Fort Knox Inn! Great location, Great Views, Friendly Staff, comfortable Beds, Great water pressure! We Loved visiting the Fort, The Bridge and walking path by the Inn on our down day. The Bathroom could use a vent, but older building so may not be doable. Not a deal breaker for us. Also, since there is no Continental Breakfast a Kurig Machine or other FREE coffee machine in the lobby in the mornings would be wonderful since the ones in the room are way too small. Or if...
