"A really lovely hotel and the staff were all so friendly and attentive through our stay We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"

"Feels like a motel.room on ground floor good side entrance easy access to car.a fridge was a god send in the heatwave,keeping things cool.great -air con another godsend. Pool and sauna good. Very good breakfast offerings .bed comfortable. My WiFi was iffy. Good value for money"

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"Das gesamte Team von Mason Arms war extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat praktisch jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Das Essen (Frühstück & Abendessen) war sehr lecker. Wir würden es eindeutig weiter empfehlen. Falls man eine Kleinigkeit kritisieren möchte, wäre es, dass man bei der Buchung auf die Größe der Zimmer achten sollte. In unserem Zimmer hatten 2 Medium große Koffer gerade so Platz aufgeklappt zu liegen und das Zimmer war praktisch mit dem Doppelbett und einem kleinen Sessel...

"The cleaning staff was amazing and very respectful. Handy to have a restaurant in the hotel, especially for breakfast, which is a standard English and continental breakfast with a good amount of options. The coffees from their machines are pretty good too. Lovely hotel and hotel rooms. Would recommend."

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"The main issue which reduces the lower recommendation rating is the £10 car park charge, which I've never experienced at any overnight hotel stay in my life. Also the internet signal in the annexe where our room was located was poor, meaning that I couldn't communicate effectively with my workplace. This will cost me time in future as I need to compensate and make-up for my schedule."

It was a hot day, we were on the second floor and the room was sweltering and even though they did give us a fan, the fact that the sun was in the room all day and the windows did not open with no air con, we sweltered all night, no one slept. The red hot towel rain under the sink that my daughter kept burning her leg on also made the bathroom even hotter Then having paid extra for breakfast, we got there and due to a lack of gas issue, they only had toast and...

"Beautiful old building dated 1642 but tastefully restored inside. Lovely rooms, delicious food. Richard is a great host. Will definitely return when we come back to the area."

"The welcome was very Good, Booking in was very quick & then showed us to our room. We'll equipped Bar & TV for sports. The breakfast was fantastic, which included A continental breakfast + an outstanding Full English Breakfast with Tea, Coffee, Orange & Apple Juices + water bottles if Required. "On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"No reception which was a bit strange although understand that is the future. The emergency porter available to answer any questions and easy to come and go. Comfortable beds!"
