My husband had become injured before we arrived, and the hotel manager very kindly provided us with an ice pack and directions on where to purchase a cane. He checked back with us several times and was always concerned and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, the hotel in excellent condition, and the breakfast most satisfying.

For a “not too fancy” hotel this is a pretty good pick. It has a nice vintage (bauhaus) meets modern look, with a pretty decent complimentary breakfast, spacious porches, nice rooms, comfortable shower, and it’s on a pretty quiet street while remaining close to good dining. My one comment would be that maybe they are a bit behind on maintenance. The bathroom fixtures / hardware were loose, and the air conditioners were a bit abnormally noisy.

The room was fine but it’s fairly dated. Theres not really very good places to hang towels in the bathroom, the taps are old school individual hot and cold which have leaky washers and are over tightened. There’s no accessible power sockets near the bed, and the AC struggles to cool the room. There’s also only one small bin in the bathroom. Adding a mixer tap in the bathroom, cleaning up the bathroom storage, adding a dedicated bathroom towel. Looking at the AC and tying the bathroom exhaust to the light switch amd adding accessible power sockets would help bring the hotel up to the modern standard of others. In saying that the room was fine for a couple of nights and you can’t beat that location. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating.

This small, boutique hotel was an amazing find in Sydney. Located a short distance from the gates of garden Island naval dockyard and the famous 'Harry's Cafe de Wheels' it is a perfect spot for the short term visitor. I arrived at the hotel at 0900 straight from a cruise ship, and was delighted to find that a room was available, even though the Manager, Richard, assured me that usually the occupancy rate for this property is, understandably, very high. The reception area comprised a lovely marine themed lounge and rest area, which was nice. The hotel offered not only free wifi but a complimentary, self-serve full English breakfast, which was delightful. The bedroom was comfortable too, with plenty of amenities provided. All this for just $134 per night and close by the Royal Botanical Gardens makes this the ideal stop over. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From now on it will be my 'go to' hotel in Sydney.

The hotel is absolutely fine with really friendly and very accommodating staff (eg storing luggage after check out). The room was fine and clean with a decent en suite, decent air con and a ceiling fan too. My only negative was a mosquito that kept buzzing me during the night, despite the insect screens on the window and door out into the courtyard. There was some noise at night from partygoers nearby (if it hadn’t been for the mosquito I might have slept through it). I didn’t use the available games room or the free coffee during the day, but they were good options for some of the guests. My expectation for the “complimentary breakfast” was fairly low, but I was proved completely wrong by a good variety of hot and cold food which was a good start to the day. The street immediately outside the hotel was a little run down, but a very short walk takes you to the upmarket Cowper Wharf and beyond that are the Botanic Gardens leading to the iconic Circular Quay, so the location is generally good. All in all, a good place to stay, decent rooms and good staff, certainly good value for money and pretty well located for some of Sydney’s highlights.

This hotel is definitely value for money, the rooms are clean and well equipped and the breakfast is excellent with a really good selection of hot and cold food. There is also a nice outdoor patio area on the 3rd floor and a lounge are on the 2nd. A perfect location for exploring Sydney, only a short walk to nice bars and restaurants as well as the Botanic Gardens. The only downside are the steep steps down to the hotel from Kings Cross Station. I would recommend a taxi if you have a lot of baggage.

We had a wonderful stay at the marinas court hotel. Richard at reception went above and beyond for us and I can’t wait to come back there and stay again. Excellent staff, clean and comfortable rooms and in a very convenient location to walk to most venues.
