Lovely home with an equally inviting atmosphere. Phillip and Fay are carrying, generous couple that are a pleasure to be around.
No negative things to say!
Everything had a thick layer of dust on it. There was moulding missing in spots. The furniture was beat up and frayed. The parking was very awkward. Since there was no refund, and I was trying not to laugh in their face, I just left the key in the door and and went to book a legitimate place to stay..
What a pleasant surprise in Syracuse! I was in town for an event and all of the regular hotels were booked up, so when I happened upon the Barrington Manor B&B I decided to go for it! The owners are so pleasant, the home is comfortable, and the breakfast - served at 8am - was delicious! We got to know the other guests a little bit over breakfast, which was fun too. The only challenge was that our private bath was not “ensuite” - so if that is important to you, check ahead of time.
The hosts are a very nice and welcoming elderly couple but seem to need some help running this as a business. Check-in experience wasn't great, door was locked and no-one was answering the door. This was resolved with a phone call but could have been a problem if we didn't have our roaming package. Expect check-in, and anything else, to take some extra time. If you are leisurely and like taking things slow, you are in luck and will enjoy your stay.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed; we slept very well. Cleanliness however was much to be desired. While the bed and fixtures were clean, under the bed appears to have never been cleaned with a thick quarter inch of dust covering the carpet. Shelving in the bathroom was similarly never cleaned, as were the water fixtures with a coating of pink slime (tub) and white/green deposits (sink). Exposed wiring and broken fixtures can be seen throughout the house.
Breakfast was good but not overly exciting; plan a full hour to get through it or simply skip it.
Overall the hosts are a very nice couple, similar to the estranged grandparents you've never met. I believe they simply need a hand in running their business as they're unable to keep up. I wish them the best and hope they find some assistance as it is a nice B&B, it just needs a lot of cleaning and perhaps an extra-person on-site to help with the day-to-day.
Best breakfast ever! Really, really interesting nd
The owners are delightful, warm and welcoming. The entire home was a sight to see all dressed up for,the holiday. Comfy sheets and towels. highly recommend it.
Excellent. The manor was clean, and wonderfully decorated for the Christmas holidays. The owners were amazing. Very friendly, witty and lots of stories to tell. Breakfast was A1. More than enough food, and the waffles were second to none!
Hosts were friendly but not imposing. Nice location in upscale area.

Last minute booking B&B
Hosts were great. Very kind and shared experiences that helped us plan our visit to State Fair. House was comfortable. Room and bathroom clean. Queen bed was a little to firm for our comfort so didn't sleep well but woke up to a great breakfast. Delicious waffle, fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee available all day/night. Would stay again...if booked in time for king room!
We were late in checking in and as a consequence they refused to open the door or to respond telephone calls. We had to look for another hotel after driving 700km,which cost os 300 dollars.
When confronting the people the next day they were rude and maybe we had a lucky escape not to stay there.
I stayed here with my husband. This manor is a very old home. I loved it. Our room had a king sized bed. Very comfortable. Our bathroom was in the hall. Not the best situation, but was large. Other rooms had bathrooms in the rooms. Breakfast waffles, scrambled eggs, ham, and bacon was so delicious. I loved it here. The house is old, so just know this. The charm out weighs any condition issues you may find.

Needs updating.
Hosts very pleasant and breakfast excellent. Facility needs work.
We had a wonderful stay and the welcome from the owners was warm, friendly and fun! The rooms were lovely, the food and service excellent, and we highly recommend this little gem!
Amazing place to stay. The house is ablsolutely beautiful, the owners are great people. You'll feel like youre right at home, and the delicious homemade breakfast is a plus too!
This B&B is very pretty and comfortable and the hosts are very welcoming and kind. The breakfast was incredible and very nicely presented. (Those waffles!)
The one downside is we didn't have a car and there is not much within walking distance. We did find a pub that was very good about 1/2 mile away but not much else.
hosts were quite gracious and accommodating in allowing us to arrive later in the evening, and even took time for a short conversation in their lovely living room. The rooms are clean and well appointed in the traditional style, and the breakfast was plentiful and excellent.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. The house is full of Christmas cheer. Philip and Faye are wonderful people, they make you feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door. The bedrooms are large with a Christmas tree in every one!!! The breakfast is first class, their waffles are to die for. We will look forward to another visit next year.

Nice bed and breakfast
Everything that I expected from a bed and breakfast getaway. The room was clean and cozy. And the breakfast was delectable.
