Our experience at Eden was excellent from the pick by boat at the airport by Sumo, to our welcome by Alex, the service by Dorian during our delicious meals to our boat ride back to the airport by Solo. We also met other guests who were very nice! We enjoyed kayaking around the island and swimming and snorkeling so much so that we did not participate in any of the excursions. Lots of beautiful tropical fish, sharks, and sting rays. The only downside was that the masseuse was not available during our stay. Our overall experience was fantastic and would love to go back there again!

My wife and I stayed 4-nights in the Sunrise Premium Bungalow (2 bedrooms), Huahine View room. The room and view were excellent, right on the water, you could swim from our room. There are only 6 bungalows on the entire island. Very private, quiet , and you can see loads of stars at night. The staff at the was was excellent. Alexandra who handled our booking was very efficient in responding to emails. The boat captain, Solo met us at the Raiatea airport for our 35 minute transfer trip to the island. The receptionist: Solenn met us at our arrival to Eden Island and was an excellent host during our entire stay (very professional). We chose the half board meal package. The chef, Fabrice cooked all meals to order and was able to adjust to our culinary needs. We never went hungry. Beer was cold. The room was very clean and the sliding glass doors overlooked the ocean and reef. There is a nice deck around the outside of the room. Very easy to kayak and snorkel around the island. The ocean water is very clear and warm. Highly recommend this hotel.

The most wonderful stay of my life so far. I hope someone finds this review while deciding where to stay in the western French Polynesian area and it tips the scale in Edens favour. I truly don’t believe any resort or island in the area could hold a candle to this property. World class snorkeling and reef exploring. Amazing cuisine. Delightful staff. Comfortable, functional and beautiful accommodations. We have visited several countries and stayed at many properties and Eden for now is absolutely number 1 and will always remain in my memory.

Only 5 bungalows all directly on the beautiful water. Host was exceedingly accommodating as were the staff. The food was excellent and there cannot be a better venue.

The property is very beautiful and well kept. Staff is kind and welcoming. The lagoon around the island is magnificent. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and they feel very secluded and private.

We had the most fabulous day at hotel Eden this past weekend. The staff are amazing. Solenn is a great hostess and so friendly and accommodating. Fabrice cooked us some amazing meals that we will remember for a very long time. In fact, he caught some of the fish in the water right outside our bungalow and we had it for supper. Celestine was an amazing masseuse and I had a very relaxing massage and salt scrub, listening to the waves as I drifted into sleep. The trip to this private island was the highlight of our trip and we are so glad we came and stayed there. This was a celebration trip for my retirement and the staff and the accommodation made it all worthwhile. We miss it and we hope to come back soon.

Hôtel de Robinson crusoe

Hôtel atypique disposant de seulement 5 bungalow avec accès direct sur le lagon. Le service est hyper personnalisé et le personnel est au petit soin à tout instant. Maxime a la réception s’occupe de tout, de l arrivée au départ et est disponible tout le temps. La chef fait du sur-mesure en fonction des goûts de chacun et ne cuisine que des produits frais. Superbe expérience au milieu du pacifique Hôtel a recommander sans hésitations.

The water near the bungalows is too shallow to swim. The best swimming and snorkeling is 200 ft off shore. The cost for a round trip water taxi to Raiatea or Tahaa is extremely expensive (appx $ 300.00)

Amazing private island property right on a reef off of Tahaa. Food was amazing. Snorkel and kayaks available. Be aware that pricing of the rooms does not include $90/pp for transportation to the Riateaa airport round trip, nor does it include the meal plans that start at ~$100/pp per day. If Expedia or their website says $500 per night for 2 people it will end up costing $900 per night with everything included!

My stay here was just what I was looking for. Quiet, solitude, and total paradise. Max the host was very communicative, helpful, and accommodating. The food was great, beds were comfortable, and the bungalows were spacious. The view from my bungalow was 10 out if 10. The water there is unreal. Shallow lagoon all around the small island was teeming with marine life. Including black tip sharks in the morning, rays, and I even saw a giant moray eel and octopus. So cool! If you’re looking for a quiet getaway to unplug this is hard to beat. If you’re looking for nightlife and more activities you’re better off staying at a large resort. But they had paddle boards and kayaks which was great. Too shallow to do much swimming but there were day excursions that you could plan for snorkeling and a trip to the Tahitian pearl and vanilla farm. Amazing! I’ll definitely go back

Staying here was truly a magical experience. After we left here, we went to bora bora and stayed at one of the big resorts in an overwater bungalow, and this place beat Bora for me. Even when this property is fully booked, you feel like you’re alone. It’s very private and romantic. The view from our bungalow was exquisite and each bungalow has its own ocean access for swimming and snorkeling. The bungalow felt luxurious. On our boat ride in we saw dolphins, sting rays, and black tip sharks and our driver was excited to slow down and point them out to each of us. Talk about a great start to the trip! The food was AMAZING! We couldn’t wait until the next meal cuz everything was so delicious! Max was very kind and accommodating. We loved talking to the staff and learning some Tahitian words—Marooroo friends! I also recommend booking a full day boat tour—this was my favorite thing we did while there. This place is magical and you’ll be missing out if you don’t stay here. A couple tips based on what we noticed with other travelers: The dinners are chef’s choice, so if you’re a picky eater this might not be the best spot for you. If you’re not a picky eater, you will be blessed by the chef’s cooking! If you’re only a resort type traveler, know that this is luxury but it isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a resort! It’s on a private island, runs primarily on solar etc. If you need it to feel like an American hotel this may not be the spot for you. I can’t wait to return! À tout!

Overpriced and have to pay extra for transfers and food and was still hungry. Small portions for over $90 AUD a meal. Nothing much to do there and internet is really poor in the rooms as it uses an extender.

If you are not a “big resort” person this place is for you. My husband and I really liked the room and the view was amazing- probably just as great as an owb. We loved the peace and quiet, we are both water people and I was a little disappointed how shallow the water was which made swimming not as inviting but we did enjoy kayaking around. The staff was nice and the food was good. There is no choice on meals which was ok since we were only there for two nights. I did not feel the food was worth paying $100 a person but again for two nights it was ok. Our biggest complaint and why we would never go back is the transportation to the island is complicated. Our flight was delayed due to weather and we arrived at 4;30 instead of 3. There were 4 of us and they waited to pick us up but charged us double for the transfer. They said they were under no obligation to pick us up after 3:30 and have to charge us double. The manager said it is their policy and he was not flexible at all. It just left a bad taste in our mouth after spending so much money to stay there and they treat you like that. If you go you should fly in the day before to be safe. We liked the place but did not feel they appreciated our business and were just trying to make money by nickle and dimeing you.
