"The staff at Lakes Inn at Dunvilla is the epitome of Minnesota nice. I have never had such friendly and helpful treatment as was experienced during an overnight stay. We travelled through some scary weather on a rainy night to get there, arriving several hours later than planned. The night clerk was waiting at the door with a luggage cart ready for me, and a request to use the hot tub for a quick soak to ease my sore shoulders was generously given. The room was large and well designed. Breakfast the next morning was unbelievable. The general manager and his assistant greeted us, and asked if we would like some scrambled eggs and bacon, which they cooked to perfection and brought to our table in about 10 minutes. The rest of the food available was incredibly well laid out, showing the rich history of how Lakes Inn has taken care of guests wanting pampering and perfection. This is a gem of a facility, tucked just off a less-travelled highway between Fergus Falls and Detroit Lakes, in a relaxed setting blending into nature."

"Our girl’s trip to DL was complete with our stay at The Lodge! Check-in was great and the staff were super helpful and friendly! We enjoyed services at The Spa Within located right inside the property, making it so easy to just go back to you room without having to get I. Your car and drive! Beds were comfy, room was clean! The breakfast is something to talk about- excellent choices and not your standard continental breakfast!! We will definitely be back!"

"The owner was very nice and helpful..it was a good place to stay for a couple nights..it was clean...the frigerator worked good..also the air conditioning..the bar/ restaurant next door had really good food..also a diner at the gas station next door has good food"
